The internet, she is a strange and wonderful place

I've been poking around del.icio.us for a little bit, and discovered some nifty and mysterious things have been going on. In the back of my head, I knew that del.icio.ius was improving the 'social' aspect of the whole social bookmarking thang, but I hadn't realized quite how far they'd gotten. When I go to look at my network, I find out not only the people who's bookmarks I've signed up to see, but I see the people who've signed up to see my bookmarks. Which is cool, if exceedingly mystifying, as I don't know who most of those people are. I mean, it's not like anyone knows who I am. But that's cool. And then, I found that someone is creating a sort of 'fandom directory', organizing people by fandom. It's so cool, because now you can go there and find people who bookmark stories in fandoms you are interested in! Anywho, my del.icio.us ended up on there, through the mysterious ways of the internets. And then, I saw that more than one person had bookmarked my del.icio.us, and I found out that ultimateficarchiver has bookmarked me as a reclist!

Oh internets, you are so mysterious and wonderful!

I suppose someday I should figure out what 'de.lic.ious' is. Everyone mentions it. *grin*

Hi, this is a fun coincidence! I've been using your de.icio.us account as a source of fic for a while now. I wanted to thank you for widening my fannish horizons and found this entry. I hope you don't mind my stalking. ;-)

I think I found your bookmarks when you commented on something over at [livejournal.com profile] thefourthvine's. It's been a while so I don't really remember the particulars. Anyway, I found a few interesting fics there and bookmarked on a whim. Your tastes coincide with mine pretty well on popslash and sga but you also read stuff like smallville and cwrps that I otherwise wouldn't come across. So thanks!
