New fandom squee

I've been kindasorta pimping myself into the emo/bandslash end of the pool for a while now, and it's finally stuck. OMG! I'd forgotten how much fun it is! Primers! with everyone labeled! Reading stories and not really having any idea who is who! More pictures! ohoh, and my favorite part! In this wondrous age of youtube, you get AMAZING footage like this, where they're all like "yeah, we fuck around, whatever, it's so obvious, but someone told us, like, we shouldn't actually say it". (also, Gerard Way is nearly 30 years old?!?!?! But he's got such a babyface!! Also, someone should write a fic about him being the Big Gay Mentor to all the teeny wee boys around him) I also love how freaking incestuous these bands are with each other. Everyone in all the bands knows everyone else and so there are all these other random bands showing up in all the fic! Love!

I love new fandoms!

My only complaint is that I'm used to SGA, where everyone and their mom uses Delicious to bookmarks stories, so I can just troll for things tagged with "sga" or "atlantis" and come up with more fic than any one person could ever possibly read in one lifetime. But not many bandslashers seem to be using delicious. WOE MY LIFE IS SO HARD. I might have to actually go out and look for fic, instead of having it dropped into my lap.
