OMFG. So, work ate my brain, and then by boss gave me a 4 day weekend, which is just now ending. And whoa did I need it. Plus, I worked all last weekend, so I totally deserved it.

Random Gripe: I don't like liquor stores ) The aind.

I did get caught up on my TV, and Grey's Anatomy has been really consistently good. I'm really enjoying it. Of course, there are always a couple quibbles, like in the most recent episode, blahblahspoilers )

Veronica Mars has been a bit of a mixed bag. I'm glad spoiler! )

SGA: Inferno is what I like to see in my SGA episodes. None of this horrifying lack of moral compass and human compassion crap. Action. Adventure. Daring Rescues. Threat of Immanent Death. Happily Ever After. So I am well satisfied. Of course, this means that the next episode will probably feature the irritating moral BS, but whatev. I'll just cover my ears and go LALALA really loudly and watch the shiny moving pictures.

You know what is way hotter than it should be? Mentions of John's dog tags in SGA stories. I like it a LOT when authors remember to mention them. Somehow, surprisingly few authors mention them.

which is obviously why I need to make a list of all stories that I find now that mention dog tags. Even in the most passing way. omfgbrainwtf? )

thefourthvine calls SGA the black hole of fandom and she is totally RIGHT OMG. Seriously. I have read sooooo much SGA fic in recent days that by all rights, my head should have exploded. (and dude, OMG GOOD RECS. I am really really impressed and sad that I did not know about that journal before this.)

She also said some interesting stuff about Weir that I'm still thinking over. It's just. Weir (and Tayla too, for that matter) is just such a ... bland nothing right now. She still hasn't done anything that would qualify her as more than kind of immature, selfishly career-oriented, not qualified to handle the situation they found on Atlantis (through no fault of her own), and not actually all that good a diplomat (which is supposed to be her job there, which I guess is her fault, but not enough for me to actually work up any feeling about her). Tayla is about the same, but without the immaturity and selfishness and some diplomatic capabilities, which somehow render her ever More bland to me. Maybe I just haven't read the right story yet, but these two are so completely without color (even negative color) in my watching of this show. It's actually twistedly impressive.
