Things that irk me: Knowing that other people HAVE SHINY THINGS and knowing that they are not sharing. Or at least not sharing where I can see. the aind. this is now my i'm over it face.

In other news, I have recently acquired a lurker on my RL journal, and wow, that is super creepy and superduper annoying! Righto. This is me doing my best to actually participate. Because I don't actually want to be the creep in the corner, I just have terminal 'why would anyone care what I think'-itis.

I've finally listened to Cobra Starship, and all I've got is a gigantic W.T.F?!!?! I mean, I honestly can't tell you if I like the music or not because I AM TOO DISTRACTED BY THINGS LIKE SONGS ABOUT KEEPING PEOPLE IN THE BASEMENT. Like, I thought it was going to be a joke, or metaphor or ... something else. But it's NOT. NOT EVEN A LITTLE. OMG WTF?

On the other hand, it makes me laugh a lot and grin like a fiend at work, so maybe I'll eventually listen enough to be able to concentrate on the music and not how Gabe goes to Pete wanting to steal Panic! for a weekend, or at least Ryan, and Pete says NO (or something) and that's what sets off the whole FINAL SHOWDOWN between Cobra Starship and Fall Out Boy. Or something. And there is a little side bit where Patrick is all hurt because Pete is protecting Ryan from Gabe, but didn't protect him, and so he almost betrays Pete to Gabe or something, but doesn't at the last minute because he truly and deeply loves Pete (in that brainwashed sort of way) and Pete finds out or something and takes Patrick to his room/basement/whatever and they have creepy brainwashing sex and Pete is all "I couldn't let him have Ryan because he isn't strong enough/ready (or something), but I know you will never betray me" and it's all heartwarmingly creeptastic the aind.

ETA: Also. Things I have seen recently mentioned that I have somehow missed actually knowing:
- Patrick used to have/still has a really violent temper? What? When? Why? Who? Sources?
- Pete getting all violent on Patrick's ass, back in the day? Throttling was mentioned? What? How do I miss these things?

... and that ended up more bloodthirsty than anticipated. um. right. Not actually the way it sounds, ok? I just want to know.

I hope you don't mind that I told EVERYBODY ON EARTH (okay, two or three people) about this entry, because it fits so perfectly, SO PERFECTLY with fandom's reaction to that song and with an AU iphignia939 and I are writing and just. Wow. I flail.

haha! Tell away! I AM CONTINUALLY FLOORED BY THAT SONG. Like, I can't pay attention to anything else. That song, combined with queenofhell's cult story that is still floating around in my head is just. AMAZING. Like. I'm actually bothering to try and write, which is like penguins trying to fly. Because there is BRAINWASHING and recruitment of emo scenster kids via song lyrics! And somehow, the image of baby!Ryan getting all set a-fire with Pete-worship. Stuck. Front and center in my brain. And THAT IS WHY BRENT LEAVES PANIC! Because he's creeped out watching Ryan brainwash Spencer and Brendon and knows that he is next. And runs away! Or something. and shit. I still haven't made a panic! icon.

I'd started an AU of people called "pushers" who could, well, push others into obedience with their wills. Built a whole culture around it. It was going to be the subject of a sidekickfic challenge, in fact, but there didn't seem to be a lot of enthusiasm. And then the cult AUs started and DUDE, DUDE, DUDE, more people need to write these things! YOU SHOULD TRY!

I AM TRYING SO HARD. But, it's like. I write lab reports and to do lists. Point of view, what? Do what with the commas? Third person past in the passive voice about centrifuge speed and solution concentration is about all I know how to do. But, I know that other things exist, so I figure that gives me a leg up on about half the writers out there. And I'm having a good time trying, so. we'll see.

Dude, now you know how I felt when I heard "Warmer in the Basement"! Cause I wrote Pied Piper without having heard it, and then heard that song and went WHAT THE FUCK, GABE SAPORTA, YOU ARE EVEN CREEPIER THAN I KNEW, and thats what spawned the basement fic.

Also, I love your brain! More creepy brainwashing sex fic is always good! The world needs it. (Or at least, you know, the 'me' part of the world.) Seriously, its your fault that I have Brent fic in my head. Although, having seen more footage of Brent and his creepy stare, its entirely possible that Pete made them kick him out because he wasn't cute enough for Pete to brainwash.

The Patrick's anger management problem and Pete choking Patrick were both mentioned in the same interview, I think. I know that at least the choking thing was mentioned in the T-Minus Rock episode that took place at Pete's house, but unfortunately its been taken off YouTube. I know Pete's mentioned it in other interviews as well--apparently Pete had been driving for, like, 36 hours straight and then Patrick called him crazy, so Pete choked him against a gas station. (He mentions it on this page of the Kerrang interview.)

As it SHOULD. OMG SO CREEPY. I've seriously made plans to move quickly in the opposite direction should I ever come across him in real life. SO QUICKLY SO FAR AWAY.

Brainwashing sex is hotter and sweeter than it should be. AT ALL. Also, I deeply apologize for the Brent thing. He's an ODD cookie. But he does make a nice (if weird and 'what of these four does not belong') blank slate. Also, he totally wasn't cute enough for Pete to brainwash. Poor Brent. Rejected by the cult leader and cast aside. All his friends are Deeply Indignant on his behalf, but he isn't angry and they don't get it. He just wants to be Good Enough. And so he sits around and has lots of inarticulate longing. And stuff. Or maybe something else happens. What do I know.

And thanks for the info! I apparently am Very Bad at picking up details in what I read. Righto. Pete! Don't go crazy on your beffie! Also, the idea of them getting angry enough at each other to get physical is intriguing.

i think this sort of exclusivity is why even though i love writing in different fandoms, i don't really feel like i'm IN any of them, you know? i'm just not cool enough!
