I liked Buffy for the first time in a long time, both the character and the show in general. The writers were doing good things, the actors were doing good things, and I felt like good things were happening. And it was funny! There has been a distinct lack of humor in many of the recent eps. And yes, I realize that they are facing the ultimate evil, but really people. There are only so many supposed-to-be-rousing-and-emotional speeches a girl can take. So humor, of the good.
And Xander wants to be gay! [bwahahahahaha! can we say fan service]
My only dissatisfaction: I really don't like what is happening with Giles's character. I keep getting the urge to yell 'character assassination!' at the television. A lot. But. Maybe there is a purpose. But given the quality of the season thus far, I think that's excessively hopeful. Oh, and the Principal... so evil.
