I was procrastinating by reading some links to things that have been happening on the internet recently, and that was such a bad plan! First I read some horrifically offensive stuff from the racewank that just went down in the scifi circle. After that, I went to catch up on BoingBoing, where one of their 'guest bloggers' who has already posted some pretty bad stuff decided to make a series of posts about how he doesn't think global warming is happening, prompting a rebuttal by one of the founders. Between all those posts and their comments, I think I've read enough stupidity to last me for YEARS.

This isn't my most favorite of all time, but I do love it lots.

I am a total moron and I've somehow managed to erase the contents of one of my playlists and (I think) fuck of the order/contents of a couple others. I don't suppose anyone downloaded the getaway car mix: songs to rob a bank by) or white belts: songs for the indie rock lifestye?

Speaking of awesome mixes, gigantic did a Spencer Smith hiphop playslit that I still listen to all the damn time. \o/

Speaking of being alive, anyone want low-key hangouts this weekend? I'm attempting this work/life ~balance~ thing. I'll make you cookies!

\o/ <-- and that is how I feel about my break. So much lounging around slothfully! Family! Food! Friends!

I am finally doing that year-in-concerts meme, and I wanted to post some pictures with it, but that ended up making everything take much longer than my attention span. But I'll get there eventually, as soon as the internet starts cooperating again. I went to a lot of concerts (and not even as many as I could have), and it was glorious!

I'm glad that it looks like the holidays are mostly treating folks well, and I'm excited to get back to Austin and kick ass and take names this semester. And perhaps be better about managing my time so that I can actually hang out with people a bit more. Texas Bandom Crew is one of my most favorite things about this past year, no lies.

And now I'm going to go ditch the contacts and drink another liter of water (persistent cold is persistent).

hey dudes! thanks to twitter, I know that the album leaked, but I haven't dl'd it yet. :(

I've been in the back woods of florida, out doing field work, roughly 8am to 8pm, then studying and dinner after. *iz exhausted* But I'm flying back tomorrow, so you all should link me to the awesome stories that I've missed (or anything else) so I have something to read on the plane. I'm not letting myself even think about looking at my flist yet, it will be EPICxINFINITY long.
