1. dreamwidth \o/I've finally gotten off my ass and gotten my journal made there. I'm drunkoffthestars. The plan is for crosspoasting of some kind. I like it over there.

2. despite the semester being over, I really don't feel like I'm under any less pressure. I have project for work to do that should reasonably take ~2 months, and I'm going to try and do it in less than 1. \o/

3. along those lines, I'm sorry to everyone who has invited me to do stuff at the last minute. I'm the most planned-out person of all time right now. Nothing can be done without advanced notice, because otherwise I don't get enough sleep and then I start wanting to die.

I am having the HARDEST TIME making up my mind about my DW journal name. Help me out! And I'm sorry if you caught that last entry, I'm new to this poll-making business.

I saw Franz Ferdinand and it was just as awesome as I remembered. I feel like this shitty camera phone picture conveys some small measure of how awesome it was. Their commitment to putting on an awesome show is fantastic.

Yeah, sorry, that subject has nothing to do with anything. But if I ever start a punk-country band, you know what it's going to be called. Speaking of not having anything to do with anything, I'm hilariously pleased that my last entry is a completely ridic drunkpost. &Sidebar; $SXSW; &Purevolume; &The Texas Crew; &that dude who bought me that shot of tequila;

I just made potato, egg, and cheese burritos, and they were actually really sort of bad. Mostly due to the fact that I over-cooked the potatoes and the tortillas were sort of old and stiff and not interested in wrapping. I am hoping that I get better with practice, because I would like to be able to make my own breakfast burritos. I am also using the remaining potato water to make some veggie broth, because why not?! I had some carrots that were trying to rot out in the bottom of my fridge, so it seemed like the way to go.

Speaking of non sequiturs, I paid entirely too much money to a scalper for a ticket to see Franz Ferdinand on Saturday. FUCK YES I AM SO EXCITED. I have seen them once before, when I was in Baltimore. I drove up to Philly with my one coworker (who was not nearly as into it as I was) and there were seats, but they rocked my face off anyway. I swore that I had to see them whenever possible, it was that awesome. So I am rly stoked to see them someplace without seats. And without lame-o coworkers who aren't into it. Austin folks should come downtown and meet up with me after! I can promise to be really sweaty and excitable.

I'm also going to see The Gaslight Anthem sometime next week, whenever that is. Wednesday, maybe?. I am completely unable to explain my affection for their music, but I love them like a burning thing. \o/ live music.

Also, I may or may not geek out and study for the exam I have on Tuesday. I have to keep my average above 90% in this class!
